Speed Dating and Scavenger hunts are a big heck yes. Speed Dating is a review game in which students are paired and face each other. As the students finished their final practice quizzes on the computer, Trevor started passing out the papers for speed dating and of course he hands one to me. All joking aside, there are three different types of math review games I would like to share.
Occasionally I will have an odd number, then I just put three people at one table. He told his students that I would be included in the speed dating round and who is able to explain the game. This game was a great way to see the student's thinking in action. In seconds, the entire class had the correct answer!

3 Math Review Games to Get Students Moving

Maths Speed Dating
Challenge is a fast paced head-to-head competition. Their is so much you can add to this activity I really like it! After we finish each problem, one person at each table rotates to the next table. Cuz yo those spammers are crafty like ice is cold. Students are finished when they return to their original problem.
These are not limited to testing and as mentioned as feedback in the reader survey, hopefully a few tricks to get students engaged to add to your toolbox. Students are paired or in a trio and move from problem to problem solving it, identifying the solution in the room, matchmaking and then working that problem. We love scavenger hunts too!
Scavenger hunts are my go to math review activity. Math review games can breathe life into your classroom, especially in the dreaded spring semester. Your email address will not be published. However, that's usually the results of poor instructions. My group didn't need the structure and were okay with three-to-five-way swaps of cards. Next year I will give them more time with this. It would be great for them to come up with their own and share with others. This sounds like a really fun activity! They worked together to solve it and had a chance to ask me questions. It looks a lot like The Family Feud.

This is actually a terrific idea. Since the goal of speed dating is to be quick and fun, it can be tricky to have a time limit. It is the perfect sponge activity.

What is Speed Dating
